They mapped the human genome, and it turns out that human DNA is 96% the same as chimpanzee DNA. So, what does that 4% difference mean?
In stand-up special on Comedy Central, Joe Rogan said, "If I gave you a sandwich that was 96% shit and 4% ham, would you tell me that's a ham sandwich?" The audience laughed, and I did too. He had a point.
In Neil Tyson's talk about his book DEATH BY BLACK HOLE, he discussed the many things that Man can do that chimpanzees cannot. He had a point.
So, I say that 4% is huge, my friend. What you and I do with it makes all the difference as to whether we are the shit sandwich or the ham sandwich, whether we are animals or humans (in Frank Herbert's DUNE sense of the words).
